Jason F Cousins
Founder & Brand Builder
Jason has spent more than two decades in the spirits industry, beginning his career in New York City’s dynamic hospitality scene. He directed beverage programs for pioneering boutique hotels, launched multiple bar and restaurant concepts, and consulted for major hospitality groups up and down the East Coast. His consulting work spanned bar design, cocktail menu development, specialty drink creation, and comprehensive staff training — always with an eye toward programs that balance creativity with long-term operational success.
In 2014, Jason transitioned to the supplier side, representing values-led brands in the U.S. market. For over a decade, he served as the National Brand & Education Ambassador for Bruichladdich and Westland Distilleries. In this role, he trained thousands of bartenders and distributor teams, designed widely adopted masterclass formats, and became a trusted voice in connecting trade and consumer audiences to the deeper values behind each distillery. His unique perspective allows him to bridge the gap between marketing teams and the realities of the field, aligning brand storytelling with what resonates at the bar, in the market, and with consumers.
An ultrarunner as well as a brand builder, Jason sees brand growth much like running a 100-mile race. Success isn’t about the quick sprint, the flash of a launch, or going out too fast. It’s about pacing, resilience, and sustaining energy over the long haul. Through Long Run Studio, he positions himself as the aid station along the way — offering strategy, training, and storytelling support at the crucial moments that keep brands moving forward.
